Course Etiquette

We do have a modern, relaxed attitude to golf. Our only real concerns about golfing etiquette are speed of play and safety. We do insist that golfers playing in four balls let three balls and two balls through. It would be wonderful if golfers could still play a golf course in 3 hours. The nearer you can get to that magic mark, the better.

• Keep up with the group in front and not just ahead of the group behind. There is no shame in letting players behind through.
• We prefer soft spikes – only because you are more likely to call into the bar before or after play. We welcome golfers in predominantly white or black trainers in the summer. Smart golfing attire is preferred.
• If you must use a mobile phone please don’t use it while actually swinging. It tends to hamper the backswing! Seriously, please use them discreetly.
