The English Ladies' Senior
International Open is a 54 hole championship,
open to all lady golfers, amateur and professional,
from any country, over the age of 50 on 24th
August 2010, with a handicap limit of 14.
Additional Over 60's Championship.
VENUE: Cambridge Meridian
Golf Club, Toft, Cambridge, CB23 2RY
DATE: Tuesday August 24th
to Thursday August 26th 2010
FORMAT: 54 hole scratch
medal championship, no cut, all players to
play 3 rounds.
PRIZES: 54 hole professional
champion. 54 hole amateur champion. 54 hole
over 60's champion. Separate prizes for amateurs
and professionals. Single round prizes. Additional
handicap trophy/prizes. First professional
prize - £1,000 plus others.
PUTTING CHAMPIONSHIP: 36
holes. Open to professionals and amateurs,
on the putting green. (Holder – Cathy
Panton, Scotland)
NATIONS CUP: Teams of 3 players
from any country (Holders - England).
COUNTY CUP: Teams of 3 from
any English, Scottish or Welsh county (Holders
– Wiltshire)
PRACTICE: Sunday afternoon
after 2 p.m. August 22nd and all day Monday
August 23rd. Details for booking practice
rounds will be sent after you enter. The club
has a large practice ground and practice green.
Balls provided. Bag storage/electric trolleys
available for travellers by rail, air etc.
Buggies are available for those with medical
needs or for over 65's for practice and tournament.
ENTRY FEE: £75 or
85 euros, to include practice rounds
HOTEL: The recommended hotel
is the Abbotsley Golf Hotel, Abbotsley, St.Neots,
PE19 6XN. This is approximately 13 miles/20
kms away, via A428, approximately 20 minute
journey. Room rate for tournament,
£50 single or £79 twin, including

CAMBRIDGE MERIDIAN: The course was designed
by BBC commentator and Ryder Cup player, Peter
Alliss, and is owned and run by Vivien Saunders
and Jenny Wisson, your hosts for the week.

LOCATION and TRAVEL: Cambridge
Meridian is on the B1046 in the village of
Toft, 4 miles south west of the City of Cambridge.
NB. Previous postcode was CB3 7RY. Easy access
from M11 Junction 12. For those travelling
by air the club is 30 minutes by car from
London Stansted Airport. Transport can be
arranged from Stansted to Abbotsley Golf Hotel.
From Scotland – direct train to Peterborough.
Easy access by Eurostar, one hour from St.
Pancras International. Transport from Peterborough
or local stations will be available.
